M V Santa Clara Valley

The British Cargo Vessel M.V. Santa Clara Valley was sunk in an air raid off Nauplia Bay on the 23rd April 1941. A member of the crew R.H. Pierce Assistant Steward on that day became a victim of the Luftwaffe along with 6 others. He died 28th April 1941 age 21 he is buried at Souda Bay War Cemetery. 

M.V. Santa Clara Valley, British Transport Cargo Vessel, M.V. Diesel built in 1928. Tonnage 4665 grt, Speed 12.5 knots. The ship was carrying Army Mules & Ammunition. 6 other lives were lost one Military five Muleteers.
