The Family of Senenmut Tomb

The Father Ramose - The Mother Hatnefert.
On the North East face of the slopes at Sheikh Abd el–Gurna, lies the tomb of the Senenmut family. This interesting tomb can be reached after climbing over the summit of the steep hill and dropping down, via the tomb of the the Middle Kingdom Vizier Dagi (No 103). He was Governor of the Town in the XI Dynasty. You almost stumble across this badly defaced tomb, the views across to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the Asasif are glorious. The rewards for your labours are clear to see. The name of Senenmut has been systematically erased from the exquisite sunken reliefs.
